Emirates Airline ranked the most valuable carrier in the world

Emirates Airline has recently been ranked the most valuable carrier in the world, according to latest Global 500 study conducted by Brand Finance.

The Dubai-based Emirates Airline is Middle East’s leading carrier and one of the fastest growing international airlines.

The report cited Emirates Airline as the most valuable airline globally with a brand value of $3.7 billion and a ‘very strong’ brand strength rating of AAA-. Its brand value was $3.62 billion in 2011. The airline improved its ranking from 291 last year to 288 in 2012.

The airline has been ranked among the world’s top 500 brands in 2012. Emirates Airline flights reported a net profit of $1.5 billion for 2010-11. The airline currently operates a fleet of 170 wide-body Airbus and Boeing aircrafts.

The airline has received more than 500 global awards for excellence.

Among the world’s top brands in airline category, Lufthansa ranked second with $3.30 billion value and Singapore Airlines achieved third position with $3.22 billion value.
