Emirates Airline signs $14 million deal with Tourism Australia

Leading Middle East carrier Emirates Airline recently announced it has signed a $14 million deal with Tourism Australia to help boost tourism in Australia.

Emirates Airline in a statement said that this is the largest investment it has ever made with a global tourism body like Tourism Australia.

The airline stated that its partnership with Tourism Australia will help Emirates Airline flights attract tourists from various European destinations.

According to the Dubai-based Emirates Airline, it aims to target tourists from European countries, such as the United Kingdom, New Zealand, France, Germany and Italy.

Simon Westaway, Tourism Australia’s General Manager Corporate Affairs and Strategy, said that the deal with Emirates Airline would prove to be beneficial as it continues to target traditional markets, in addition to making effective forays into the fast growing Asian markets like Taiwan and China.

Currently, Emirates Airline operates 70 flights every week to Australia. The airline operates 21 flights to Melbourne and Sydney, 14 flights to Perth and 14 flights to Brisbane.
