Emirates to launch flights to Ho Chi Minh City June 4

Middle East’s leading carrier Emirates recently announced it will continue with its expansion plans in South East Asia.

Emirates flights will now be launched to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam as part of its South East Asia expansion drive starting from June 4, 2012.

Emirates in a statement said that it will deploy an Airbus A330-200 aircraft configured with two classes – 27 Business Class seats and 251 Economy Class seats – on Dubai-Ho Chi Minh City route. The airline further stated that the service on Dubai-Ho Chi Minh City route will be operated by a Boeing 777-300 ER in a two class configuration from October 28, 2012.

With the launch of the flights, Ho Chi Minh City will become the airline’s 124th destination on its global network. Apart from this, Ho Chi Minh City will be the airline’s 8th route to be launched in 2012. Earlier, Emirates flights to Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro was launched on January 3; Dublin on January 9; Lusaka and Harare on February 1; Dallas on February 2; and Seattle on March 1.
