Emirates upgrading aircrafts serving Germany

Emirates recently announced it is upgrading aircrafts serving German cities of Munich, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt.

The airline will replace the existing Airbus A340-300 with a larger Boeing 777-300 on Munich route effective March 25, 2012. Munich is being currently served with two flights. The upgrade will significantly boost the seat capacity by 36 percent.

Emirates flights to Dusseldorf being operated through Airbus A340-300 will also be replaced with a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft starting from June 1, 2012. This will also increase the number of seats by 36 percent. Currently, Dusseldorf is being served by twice daily flights.

The airline also stated that Airbus A330-200 serving Frankfurt currently with three daily flights will be replaced by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from October 1, 2012. This will also boost the seat capacity by 49 percent.

The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will be configured with three classes – First Class, Business Class and Economy Class.

Currently, Emirates offers 63 flights per week to four German cities, including Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich.
