Etihad Airways loyalty program BusinessConnect expanded

UAE’s national flag carrier Etihad Airways recently announced it has expanded its loyalty program for businesses to seven new markets.

The airline in a statement said that its business travelers booking Etihad Airways flights will now be able to avail the benefits of BusinessConnect loyalty program when booking flights to/from South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Indonesia, France, Belgium and Bangladesh.

Etihad Airways BusinessConnect loyalty program is the airline’s free mileage earning program dedicated for companies having between two and 50 business travelers. This is applicable to companies that currently don’t have a corporate contract with the airline.
 
According to the airline, the BusinessConnect loyalty program is similar to the Etihad Guest frequent flyer scheme. The program allows registered BusinessConnect members to earn Etihad Guest miles every time one of the employees of a company takes a flight.

The BusinessConnect program has its own benefits. The traveler gets opportunity to earn Etihad Guest miles for him/herself. Apart from this, the traveler’s company also earns a percentage of those miles as a bonus.
