Etihad Airways to increase flights to Tokyo from April next year

United Arab Emirates’ national carrier Etihad Airways recently announced its plans to increase flight frequency to Tokyo. The airline said that it will begin operating Etihad Airways flights on a daily basis between Tokyo and Abu Dhabi starting from April next year. The airline stated that the daily flights between the two cities will become operational from April 2, 2013.

Etihad Airways is the first Middle Eastern carrier to begin its flights services to the Japanese capital Tokyo in March 2010. The airline is currently operating five nonstop flights every week to Tokyo’s Narita International Airport and has ever since carried nearly 160,000 travelers between the two capital cities of UAE and Japan.
 
James Hogan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said that the airline’s move to boost its flight frequencies and begin daily flights would act as a catalyst in strengthening the close cultural, tourism and trade ties between the two countries.
