Oxford Street, the shopping Mecca in London, wants to be projected as the “most powerful fashion destination in the world” by the holding of this event. Over 100 million shoppers visit the Oxford Street every year from across the world. Oxford Street is already being decked up for the event. Five London Fashion Week designers have been given the responsibility to dress Oxford Street with 75 flags. Each flag would illustrate the very best of the British fashion industry. The flag will be 12 foot in height, and would be featuring autumn 13 catwalk shots from Giles and Alice Temperley, Topshop Unique, Matthew Williamson and House of Holland. The flags would keep flying for the entire 17 days of the event.

The visitors will get opportunity to see the stores featuring fashion career mentoring, in-style styling sessions, celebrity pop-up DJs, blogging workshops, makeovers, guest star interviews and feature fashion forums.
