Efforts on to bring Frontier Airlines to New Orleans from Denver

New Orleans authorities are making extensive efforts to get Frontier Airlines flights operated out of Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.

The Regional Planning Commission in New Orleans has been presented with a plan to bring the low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines to operate out of New Orleans as well as create a regional hub here.

The main aim to bring Denver-based Frontier Airlines here is to see the airline providing direct flights services to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport from every major city in Louisiana.

Since the early days of Gov. Kathleen Blanco’s administration, the plan to bring Frontier Airlines has been in the works. The plan envisages the acquisition of Frontier Airlines, make it to relocate to New Orleans from Denver, and begin flight operations out of here as a hub airline.

If the plan of New Orleans authorities finally succeeds, then bringing Frontier Airlines would prove to be a boon for Baton Rouge as well as other cities with airports around the state.
