Frontier Airlines abandons proposed flights between Durango and Las Vegas

There will be no Frontier Airlines flights to Durango now. Denver-based low cost carrier Frontier Airlines recently announced it will be abandoning its proposed nonstop flights services between Durango and Las Vegas.

Frontier Airlines was scheduled to begin its nonstop flights between Durango and Las Vegas from October 4, 2012. Now after having decided to finally cancel the proposed launch, the airline said that it will be reaching out to its customers who booked Frontier Airlines flights tickets to begin the refund process.
 
Daniel Shurz, Senior Vice President-Commercial of Frontier Airlines, said that the airline was not being able to get the desired results it had earlier anticipated because the community interest in the new service was far too less.

Shurz, however, said that the airline will continue to explore opportunities and seek to expand its network to other destinations whenever it gets a suitable chance to do so.
 
The airline has sounded out that it will continue to offer its daily flights services to Durango from its hub in Denver. Currently, Frontier Airlines serves 60 cities in the United States, Costa Rica and Mexico.
