Frontier Airlines bookings for new flights to 4 West Coast cities quite good

Frontier Airlines will be launching new nonstop flights to four West Coast cities in May this year.

The airline in a recent statement said that bookings for nonstop Frontier Airlines flights to four West Coast cities, especially routes to Portland and Seattle, to be launched this month are “very good”.

Nonstop Frontier Airlines flights between Colorado Springs and Phoenix to be operated daily will be launched from May 18, 2012. Apart from this, the airline will also begin nonstop flights between Colorado Springs and Los Angeles, and nonstop flights between Colorado Springs and Seattle on the same day. The flights between Colorado Springs and Los Angeles will be operated six days per week, while the flights between Colorado Springs and Seattle will be operated four days per week.

The airline also stated that it will also begin nonstop flights between Colorado Springs and Portland on May 20, 2012, to be operated thrice per week. According to the airline, both the Portland and Seattle flights are seasonal, which will be ending on September 16, 2012 and resume in May 2013.

Andrea Tollar, Frontier Airlines’ Sales Director, said that all four cities are performing within the confines of the airline’s network and holding their own. However, Portland and Seattle are above average and are tourism markets where travel is strong during the summer. If these remain strong, then the flights could be extended later into September.
