Frontier Airlines named ‘North America’s Leading Low-Cost Airline’ for 2011

World Travel Awards has named Frontier Airlines “North America’s Leading Low-Cost Airline” for 2011. The World Travel Awards is acknowledged as the travel industry awards program and the Wall Street Journal has described it as the “Oscars of the Travel Industry”.

In 2010, Frontier Airlines was named by World Travel Awards as the “World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline” and “North America’s Leading Low-Cost Airline”.

During the awards for 2011, more than 213,000 professionals from the travel industry took part in the World Travel Awards voting program from 160 countries.

Peter Kowalchuk, Frontier Airlines’ Director of Corporate Communications, said that the award is in fact a tribute to more than 5,000 aviation professionals who had made this honor possible. He said that Frontier Airlines has been serving its customers for more than 18 years now offering affordable fares round the year as well as enjoyable, comfortable and safe flying experience.

Frontier Airlines currently operates from its hubs at Denver International Airport, Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport and Kansas City International Airport offering services to more than 75 destinations in the US, Costa Rica and Mexico.
