Frontier Airlines passenger traffic down 9 percent this November

Frontier Airlines recently announced its operational results for the month of November 2012. The airline sounded downcast at the results as Frontier Airlines flights failed to perform well.

The airline in a statement said that the sale of Frontier Airlines flights tickets could not yield good revenues for the airline as the passenger traffic showed a sharp decline in November this year.

Frontier Airlines, a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, reported that its traffic decreased 9 percent for the month of November 2012, to 0.9 billion RPMs (measured in revenue passenger miles) on a 9 percent decrease in capacity to 1.0 billion ASMs (measured in available seat miles).

The airline stated that its load factor was flat at 88 percent. Frontier Airlines further stated that it carried 1.0 million passengers in November this year.

 On the other hand, Republic Airways Holdings, which owns Frontier Airlines, reported that its passenger traffic increased 1 percent in November 2012 as compared to the same month in 2011.
