Frontier Airlines stopping flights to Billings from January 23

Frontier Airlines recently announced it will stop operating its flights services to Billings in January next year. The airline in a statement said that Frontier Airlines flights to Billings will be stopped from January 23, 2013.

The decision to stop the flights services has come at a time even as the Billings Logan International Airport reported an 18 percent increase in its traffic this year when compared to 2011.

Currently, Frontier Airlines is operating two flights to Billings every day with the help of a 99-seat Embraer E-190 aircrafts.

Tom Binford, Director of Aviation and Transit for Billings Logan International Airport, said that the airline was planning to reduce a market and selected Billings for it. He said that Bozeman had better traffic in the winter.

Delta Air Lines and United Airlines will however continue to operate their flights services at Billings Logan International Airport from Denver after Frontier Airlines departure.
