Frontier Airlines to begin nonstop Denver-Punta Cana flights

Frontier Airlines recently announced it will be launching nonstop flights between its main hub Denver and Punta Cana in Dominican Republic.

The airline in a statement said that Frontier Airlines flights to the popular resort destination of Punta Cana in the Caribbean’s Dominican Republic will start from June 9, 2012. The nonstop flight will initially be operated once a week on Saturdays.

According to the airlines, flights to Punta Cana are being seen as a boon for those living around Denver, as well as around most places in the Mountain West.

Until now, either charter flights were available for Punta Cana, or Dominican Republic was reached only by flights via Miami, Atlanta, New York or other places, by changing planes along the way. Some flight routings also took as long as 17 hours to reach Dominican Republic.

Frontier Airlines stated that flights between Denver and Punta Cana will take only 6 hours to reach.

The new flight between Denver and Punta Cana will run this summer each Saturday through August 4, 2012.

Departure: 8.05 am – Arrival: 3.30 pm

Punta Cana to Denver

Departure: 4.20 pm – Arrival: 8.30 pm
