Frontier Airlines to continue being part of Republic Airways Holdings until H1 2013

There will be no impact on Frontier Airlines flights in the immediate future after its separation with its parent company Republic Airways Holdings, Inc.

Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. recently announced that Frontier Airlines will continue to be its part. The company said that it doesn’t think that the separation of Frontier Airlines is expected to be complete until the first half of 2013.

The parent company of Frontier Airlines currently has one of the largest regional fleets in the United States. The company flies on behalf of the network carriers. The company acquired Frontier Airlines in 2009.
 
Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. has now decided to offload its stake in Frontier Airlines because of the high fuel prices and stiff competition. Ever since the company has acquired Frontier Airlines it has been facing great losses prompting it to take this decision. The company has now instead decided to focus on regional flying.
