Frontier Airlines to launch Cleveland Tampa service in June

Frontier Airlines announced its decision to launch flights to Tampa. The low-cost airline said it intends to commence service between Cleveland in Ohio and Tampa in Florida. It expects to begin this service from June 15, 2014. It has also launched introductory one-way fares that start from as low as $69* on this route.

The Denver, Colorado based airline said that the new service would operate on thrice a week basis. Therefore, the flights between the city pair will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The airline seems to be on an expansion mode. It has announced six new destinations including this Ohio city. The airline will fly between Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Tampa International Airport.

Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial at Frontier confirmed the news and expressed his joy. He said that the airline is looking forward to adding more routes to its itinerary. He further added that the airline gives its customers the choice of booking and flying at low costs to almost 80 destinations within the United States and neighboring countries. The carrier will use the services of Airbus A320 aircraft on this route. This plane has a seating capacity for 168 passengers.

The 20-year old airline, which first commenced service in 1994 offers tickets at ultra low rates to travelers within the U.S, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and Mexico. It operates out of its hub in Denver International Airport. Its focus cities include New Castle Airport and Trenton-Mercer Airport. Some of the destinations served by it include Liberia, Punta Cana, Montego Bay, Anchorage, Atlanta, New Orleans, Las Veags, and New York City.
