Frontier Airlines to refocus on its home market Denver

Frontier Airlines recently stated that it will be refocusing on its home market of Denver. David Siegel, newly-appointed Chief Executive of Frontier Airlines, indicated that by summer about 85 percent of the airline’s business will involve Denver.

Siegel said that he would want the airline to be more engaged in Denver than before. He said that there will be more engagement with local officials, ask for more support and will be investing more.

Siegel further said that there will be extensive efforts to remake Frontier Airlines into an ultra-low-cost airline and offer cheap Frontier flights to its passengers even more.

According to Siegel, they will have to be more efficient, get the right number of seats on the aircraft and unbundle the product in order to remake Frontier Airlines into an ultra-low-cost airline.

He said that from May this year Frontier Airlines’ Airbus A320s will have increased number of seats from 162 to 168, thus earning additional revenues.

Besides, the airline is likely to take several other initiatives to generate another $15 million to $20 million in revenues annually.
