Frontier Airlines to stop flying between Wichita and Denver starting November 16

There will be no more Frontier Airlines flights to Wichita from mid November onwards. Frontier Airlines recently announced it will stop its flights operations to Denver from Wichita starting November 16, 2012.

The airline is currently operating two daily flights to Denver to Wichita, but said that it will be stop flying on Wichita-Denver route because of under performance. The airline in a statement said that its performance is below average on this route, which is not a good sign for the airline’s network.

Lindsey Carpenter, Frontier Airlines’ spokeswoman, said that the passengers who booked Frontier Airlines flights tickets after November 15 will be contacted and offered another travel option of either flying on another airline or seeking a refund. 

With the stopping of flights services by Frontier Airlines, the only other airline to continue serving Wichita through Denver to other western destinations will be United Airlines. There are currently five daily flights being offered by United Airlines to Denver.
