Frontier fares well at CVG, 95 percent flights packed

Frontier Airlines that started flying to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) four months ago is extremely happy with its decision. The airline is experiencing a great time with its flights to Denver out of the CVG.

The budget carrier, which commenced CVG service from May 17, 2013 has been averaging 95 percent full flights. Passengers who wish to fly low cost on Frontier Airlines flights between the two airports are having a hard time with their last minute bookings. The flights are packed and there is little scope to accommodate last-minute passengers.

In fact the airline doubled its profits in the first month of operations. This is a clear indication that people are supporting the budget carrier and are willing to travel low cost to their destination. The airline seems to have exceeded the expectations of the people and the airport authorities. This is simply justified with the tremendous response that it has been able to generate.

The airline, based in Denver entered the United States aviation market as the low-cost carrier in the 1990s. It faced stiff competition from established airlines like Delta Air Lines that had been a dominant player on the route for long.

It however, created a unique record for itself as it filled 93 percent of its seats across the country in the month of August this year. The carrier, which has been serving the masses for a long time is speculated to be sold soon.
