Frontier reports an increase in July passenger traffic

Frontier Airlines announced its traffic results for the month ending July 2013. The airline has reported an increase in its load factor, which increased by 1 percent to reach 94 percent. For the same period last year, the airline reported traffic of 93 percent. With this boost, the airline has set a new record for itself for the month of July.

However, the low-cost carrier’s revenue passenger miles (RPM) dipped 17 percent to be 1.0 billion RPMs. This was an 18 percent decrease in available seat miles (ASM). For the month of July, the airline catered to 1.1 million passengers approximately. The number of passengers that Frontier served for the same period in 2012 was 17 percent higher than in July 2013.

The airline continues to offer its flights to customers. Passengers who wish to fly at low costs purchase Frontier Airlines tickets to destinations operated by the carrier.

The budget carrier is a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings. This company also runs airlines like Chautauqua Airlines, Republic Airlines, and Shuttle America under its parent umbrella. Frontier, which operates out of its base in Denver has been serving the industry for two decades. It operates flights to over 75 destinations across the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and Dominican Republic.
