First-ever daily nonstop Hawaiian Airlines service from New York JFK lands at Honolulu

Hula and live Hawaiian music greeted the passengers embarking from first-ever Hawaiian Airlines flights which landed at Honolulu International Airport from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on June 5, 2012.

Apart from this, Hawaiian Airlines also announced the start of new codeshare and frequent flyer reciprocity agreements with JetBlue Airways on the same day.

The codeshare agreement will now allow Hawaiian Airlines to place its flight code on select JetBlue Airways-operated flights throughout the East Coast. Similarly, JetBlue Airways will now also be putting its flight code on flights operated by Hawaiian Airlines.

Under this codeshare pact, customers booking Hawaiian Airlines flights tickets will be able to travel on JetBlue Airways flights on a single ticket. This arrangement is also applicable to JetBlue Airways customers.
The codeshare agreement will also enable customers of each carrier’s frequent flyer program to earn and redeem loyalty points or miles for travel on either airline.

Hawaiian Airlines will be operating its new nonstop flights to Honolulu out of New York JFK’s Terminal 5. The flight will be operated with the help of Airbus A330-200 aircraft, with a total capacity of 294 seats, including 18 seats in the First Class and the remaining in Economy Class.
