Hawaiian Airlines earn $3.9 million in Q2

The impressive Hawaiian Airlines flights tickets bookings has helped the airline earn $3.9 million revenue in the second quarter of 2012.
The aggressive expansion strategy implemented by the airline to increase its flight network helped it boost revenue significantly by nearly 23 percent. The easing fuel prices also worked wonders and helped the airline to reduce its expenses.

Hawaiian Airlines stated that its revenue in the last quarter was $484.6 million as compared with $395 million the Q2 2011. The airline also revealed that the average cost per gallon of jet fuel declined by 4.8 percent to $3.18 from $3.34 in 2011.

Mark Dunkerley, President and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines, said that the company is pleased and greatly satisfied with the early results emanating from the implementation of its strategy to expand into the markets from where it has not seen any earnings earlier. He said that expanding the airline’s flight network into new markets has boosted its prospects and help it significantly increase its revenues.

Hawaiian Airlines flights service were launched to Fukuoka and New York during the April-June period this year.
