Hawaiian Airlines, other carriers boost capacity to Hawaii Islands this year

There has been an increase in the number of Hawaiian Airlines flights services to Hawaii Islands this year. Apart from Hawaiian Airlines, other carriers reported to have boosted their capacity to the Aloha State include Alaska Airlines, United Airlines and Allegiant Air.

Media reports said that the continuing surge of visitors to Hawaii Islands is all set to see a third-quarter record into capacity increase into Hawaii in the year 2012.

Hawaii Tourism Authority recently released its data and said that scheduled capacity is forecast to exceed between July and September this year. The forecast increase in the capacity in the third quarter is set to break the previous record established five years ago.

According to Hawaii Tourism Authority, there will be about 2.7 million passengers forecast to land in Hawaii Islands during the third quarter. The capacity from the US West Coast is likely to increase by 8.8 percent, while from US East Coast the capacity increase is expected to be 25 percent.
