Hawaiian Airlines revamped onboard catering to feature local island foods

Take Hawaiian Airlines flights now and enjoy local Hawaiian Islands foods onboard during your travel. Hawaiian Airlines recently announced it has revamped its onboard catering options and will be featuring the culinary traditions of the Aloha State.

The airline in a statement said that the new meal options will be available on its domestic and international flights now, showcasing the diversity of foods and flavors in the Hawaii Islands.

According to the airline, passengers taking Hawaiian airlines flights in Economy Class between Hawaii Islands and the Mainland will be able to enjoy entrees, such as the Hawaiian Breakfast Wrap of fried rice, Portuguese sausage, and edamame, and a Chicken Yellow Curry with rice and pineapple. Passengers will also be offered a vegetarian option, which includes Yellow Curry Penne Pasta with vegetables. Passengers taking international flights from Honolulu will be able to enjoy the Hawaiian Moco, inspired by the island breakfast dish made with a grilled hamburger patty, steamed rice, brown gravy, and fried eggs.

The airline will be offering Kalua Pork and Cheese Omelet, Shrimp & Crab Salad with Crispy Won Ton Taco, and Grilled Prawns with Fusilli Pasta & Mac Nut Pesto to the First Class passengers. At least one fresh seafood entrée will be offered to First Class passengers on every flight.

Hawaiian airlines recently announced the opening of a second hub on Maui earlier this year. The airline will also begin flight services to New York City in June, while flights to Sapporo, Japan, will begin in November this year.
