Hawaiian Airlines to make Seoul flights from Honolulu daily

Hawaiian Airlines recently announced that it will expand its Honolulu-Seoul service from next year. The airline said that it will be increasing its direct, nonstop flights to Seoul from Honolulu and make it daily from July 16, 2012.

Currently, the Honolulu-based carrier Hawaiian Airlines is operating four-times-a-week flights to Seoul since the service was launched last January.

The daily Honolulu-Seoul service is yet to be approved by the government. Upon approval, flights will be departing Seoul daily at 1.20 pm, with the arrival at Honolulu at 12.05 pm the same day.

With the launch of daily Seoul flights, Hawaiian Airlines will be flying more than 96,000 total air seats every year from Honolulu.

Mark Dunkerley, President and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines, said that the airline has always wanted to operate daily flights to Seoul from Honolulu, and it has always been a part of the growth plan of the company. He also said that demand among Korean travelers for vacationing in Hawaii had also been continuously growing. “Hawaiian Airlines is delighted to expand its service to Seoul next July,” said Dunkerley.
