Hawaiian Airlines to move ticket counters and gate locations at Seattle-Tacoma

Hawaiian Airlines recently announced it will be shifting its gate at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to another location next year. This step is being taken as part of $230 million renovation plan of the airport’s north satellite terminal.

The airline in a statement said that passengers booking Hawaiian Airlines flights will be required to purchase their Hawaiian Airlines flights tickets from ticket counters at new locations.

According to Port of Seattle officials, the ticket counters and gate locations will be moved to other locations from next year in order to help Alaska Airlines Group consolidate its operations at the existing terminal from where Hawaiian Airlines and other U.S. carriers are operating their flights.

Apart from Hawaiian Airlines, other U.S. carriers whose ticket counters and gate locations will be moved, includes Virgin America, United/Continental, JetBlue Airways, Frontier Airlines and American Airlines.

Port of Seattle officials indicated that Alaska Airlines will now become the sole tenant in the north satellite as renovation of the terminal at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is complete.
