Hong Kong Airlines terminates its Tokyo Service

Hong Kong Airlines recently announced that it has decided to discontinue its Tokyo flights from January 2013. The airline in October 2012 has put an end to its Osaka service also.

The airline in an email note to the media said that this decision is purely taken in mind due to commercial reason. As the airlines was to "tighten" its focus on its existing regional routes. Hence from January 10, 2013 Hong Kong Airlines flights to the Japanese capital, Tokyo will be terminated for good.

The airlines further said that its business has increased by thirty percent as compared to the year 2011. And this is why they strongly feel that they should concentrate more on their regional routes and make themselves more competitive in their regional market.

Established in the year 2006, Hong Kong Airlines fleet consists of 21 aircrafts, which fly to several destinations like Mainland China, Bangkok and Brussels.
