Iberia, American Airlines and British Airways celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee

Three leading carriers – Iberia, American Airlines and British Airways – recently teamed up and offered savings on business class to London. All the three airlines are members of oneworld global airline alliance.

The travelers who booked business class tickets on British Airways, American Airlines and Iberia flights were offered special discounted airfares to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee. The travelers were offered special flight deals on nonstop flights from 20 cities in the U.S. to London and Manchester in the UK.

The special $1,952 round-trip fare offered to the travelers honored the year that 25-year old Princess Elizabeth ascended to the throne 60 years ago. The fares were available for bookings until May 18, 2012, and are valid for outbound travel from May 26 through June 9, 2012. All the travel on this offer must be completed by April 11, 2013.

It may be noted that American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia implemented a joint business agreement in 2010 allowing the three carriers to cooperate with each other commercially on nonstop flights across the Atlantic.
