Iberia launches Avios and Money service for Iberia Plus loyalty scheme members

Leading European carrier Iberia has unveiled a new ‘Avios and Money’ option for the convenience of its Iberia Plus loyalty scheme members.
 
The airline recently announced that Iberia Plus loyalty scheme members will now be able to avail the option of conveniently using a combination of Avios and cash to pay for Iberia flights. This new service is similar to that of British Airways, which is being provided to its Executive Club program members.

According to Iberia, the new ‘Avios and Money’ service will allow Iberia Plus loyalty scheme members to utilize a desired combination of Avios and cash to pay for all the flights being operated by Iberia and its subsidiaries, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum.
 
The ‘Avios and Money’ option can also be availed by Iberia Plus loyalty scheme members when booking flights with Iberia’s partners British Airways or Vueling. According to the new option, Iberia Plus members will be able to use cash to pay for up to 50 percent of fare (excluding airport taxes) for booking Iberia flights tickets.
