Iberia signs agreement with Vodafone to sell pre-paid SIM cards onboard its flights

Passengers taking Iberia flights to domestic destinations in Spain during the summer can now look forward to remain in touch with their kins, friends and acquaintances while onboard their flights.

Spanish carrier Iberia in a statement said that it has signed an agreement with phone company Vodafone España to sell pre-paid SIM cards onboard its flights.

The initiative of the airline is aimed at helping the tourists and other travelers to remain in constant touch with their acquaintances while onboard their flights. With the pre-paid SIM cards, Iberia passengers will be able to make local as well as international calls.

According to the airline, this pioneering step, which is a first for Spain, will prove to be of great benefit to the tourists as they will be able to make calls of 30 minutes duration to any place world over for only 11 Euros.

The airline stated that the SIM cards will be available on Iberia flights for three months – July, August and September – this year.
