Iberia wins FTE award for best check-in service

Iberia, the Spanish commercial carrier is renowned for its world-class services. It is a popular airline offering customers excellent travel opportunities within and outside the country. The airline was recently facilitated for its achievements in the aviation sector.

The third edition of Future Travel Experience (FTE) Awards that were presented in a glittering ceremony in the vibrant Las Vegas recognized its endeavors to offer enhanced customer service. It was therefore awarded in the Best Check-in Initiative category.

The award brings in joy, pride and happiness to the airline’s staff, management and customers at a time when the carriers are doing every bit to outdo their rivals with a motive to entice travelers. The carrier won the award for its MyBagTag home printed bag-tags. Through this initiative passengers flying on Iberia tickets can print their baggage tags and boarding passes at home. This allows them to gauge through the long queues at the check-in counters and proceed towards the boarding gate without much delay.

Passengers who bring these tags printed from home simply need to drop their luggage at the baggage counter. This strategy has helped enhance customer experience and lets these travelers quickly pass through the otherwise long, monotonous and boring process.

Iberia is the first airline in the world to launch the home-printed bag tags, and many airlines are following suit. In fact it plans to roll out this service across its worldwide network.
