Icelandair holding 2nd Annual Last Bostonian Skating event

Icelandair recently announced that it will hold its 2nd Annual Last Bostonian Skating event at Kendall Square Community Ice Skating Rink on March 3, 2012.

Icelandair will be sponsoring a day of free skating and skate rentals to benefit the Icelandair Special Children Travel Fund and The Children’s Hospital Boston.

The airline has been holding the Annual Last Bostonian Skating since last year aimed at bringing the local community together in an interactive and fun environment while creating awareness and raising money for the two great causes.

Icelandair in a statement said that proceeds raised are utilized to send a child from The Children’s Hospital Boston and his or her family on the trip of a lifetime to Iceland through Icelandair flights.

The events and performances held also provide a great chance to win a trip to Iceland.

Currently, Icelandair flights are operated from Boston, New York JFK, Seattle and Denver to Reykjavik. Besides, the airline also operates seasonal service from Washington DC, Minneapolis - St. Paul, Orlando Sanford, Halifax and Toronto to Iceland. Apart from this, Icelandair also offers flight services to over 20 destinations in Scandinavia, UK and Europe. Icelandair also allows its passengers to stopover in Iceland at no extra cost.
