Icelandair launches year-round nonstop Denver-Reykjavik flights

Iceland’s national carrier Icelandair recently announced the launch of its year-round, nonstop flights services between Denver and Reykjavik.

The airline in a statement said that the newly-launched Icelandair flights services will connect the Mile High City to more than 20 destinations in Scandinavia, UK and Europe. The airline also expects to generate more than $28 million through the sale of Icelandair flights tickets annually.

Icelandair said that it is the first new carrier to begin transatlantic service at Denver International Airport in more than 10 years.

The airline will operate four nonstop flights every week from Denver International Airport. The airline will deploy a Boeing 757 aircraft to provide convenient access to Europe through its Reykjavik hub at Keflavik International Airport. Denver is the 9th North American city to be served by Icelandair.

According to the airline, the Denver-Reykjavik route will give the travelers direct access to Iceland as well as connection points to London, Paris, Munich, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Manchester and Glasgow, among other cities.
