Japan Airlines extending temporary cuts in flights services to China

The temporary cuts in Japan Airlines flights services to China are being further extended. Japan Airlines recently announced that it has decided to extend the temporary cuts in its flights to China as a bitter territorial dispute over a group of islands in the East China Sea between the two countries still prevails.

The airline in a statement said that over 15,000 Japan Airlines flights tickets have been cancelled that had been earlier booked for group tours. The airline said that so far it isn’t expecting an upturn in passenger demand.

Japan Airlines has indicated that the temporary cuts in its services to China will at least last until November 17, 2012.

Another leading Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways has also disclosed that it had been forced to cancel about 40,000 seat reservations on its flights services between Japan and China for three months until November this year amid escalating territorial feud between the two countries.
