Japan Airlines temporarily adjusts flight frequency to select international routes

Japan Airlines recently announced temporary adjustments in its flight frequencies on three routes to China keeping in with the response in travel demand from their in wake of escalating territorial feud between the two countries.

The airline in a statement said that Japan Airlines flights on three routes – Tokyo Narita to Beijing, Tokyo Narita to Pudong and Kansai to Pudong – will continue to remain affected until November 17, 2012.

The airline had earlier made temporary adjustment to its flight schedule on these three routes for the period between October 10 and October 27, 2012.
However, considering the present volatile situation between Japan and China, Japan Airlines has announced further temporary adjustments to its schedule on the same routes and said that this is being extended for the period from October 28, 2012 to November 17, 2013.

The airline has reduced two daily flights between Tokyo Narita and Beijing to one. Three daily flights between Tokyo Narita and Shanghai are being reduced to two daily flights. The airline is also reducing 14 weekly flights between Kansai and Pudong to nine weekly flights.
