Japan Airlines to launch flights between Tokyo and Helsinki early next year

Japan Airlines recently announced it will be launching its flights services between Japan and Finland early next year.

The airline in a statement said that Japan Airlines flights would begin operations between Tokyo’s Narita International Airport and Finland’s capital city Helsinki starting from February 25, 2013.

Japan Airlines said that it is looking forward to offer its passengers new onward connections in Europe as it seeks to expand its partnership with Finland’s national flag carrier Finnair.

The airline is initially planning to operate four-time weekly flights services from Tokyo Narita to Helsinki, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

However, the airline will be increasing its frequency from April next year and will be offering daily flights services between the two destinations.

According to the airline, Helsinki will be its fourth nonstop destination in Europe. The other three European destinations where Japan Airlines is operating its flights, includes London, Paris and Frankfurt.
