JetBlue Airways flights between Washington DC and San Juan begins

Puerto Rico’s leading carrier JetBlue Airways recently announced the launch of its flights services between the two capitals of United States and Puerto Rico.

The airline in a statement said that JetBlue Airways flights between Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and San Juan have now become operational. The new nonstop “capital-to-capital” service was launched on August 23, 2012.

The airline offered its customers JetBlue Airways flights tickets at extremely low fares starting as low as $99 each way to celebrate the special launch. The travel period on this exclusive introductory offer starts from September 6 through November 9, 2012.

Earlier, in May this year the U.S. Department of Transportation granted the airline a pair of beyond-perimeter slot exemptions to enable it to launch this new long-distance flight.
 
The new flight will be the only nonstop flights services between Washington D.C.’s downtown airport and San Juan. Washington DC-San Juan route will also be the airline’s 14th destination on its flight network from San Juan.
