JetBlue Airways Hurricane Rina-affected passengers to be waived change fees

JetBlue Airways recently announced that it will waive change/cancel fees and fare differences for its passengers who are traveling to/from Cancun and have been affected due to adverse weather arising out of Hurricane Rina.

The airline in a statement stated that its passengers scheduled for travel to/from Cancun on October 27 or 28 will be allowed to rebook their flights to Cancun through November 1, 2011 prior to departure of their originally scheduled flight.

JetBlue Airways further stated that the passengers who had cancelled their flights may also opt for a refund. However, waiving of change/cancel fees and fare differences are applicable only when the passenger had originally booked for travel on or before October 25, 2011.

The airline has also cautioned the passengers to check the status of their flights to Cancun prior to their departure.

JetBlue Airways currently operates 650 daily flights to 66 cities. The airline also recently introduced flights to St. Croix and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands as well as La Romana, Dominican Republic and Liberia, Costa Rica.
