JetBlue Airways launching Fort Lauderdale-Medellin flights

JetBlue Airways recently announced it is planning to begin flights services between Medellin and Fort Lauderdale. The airline in a statement said that JetBlue Airways flights are likely to be launched from Fort Lauderdale to Medellin in June next year.

According to JetBlue Airways, if all goes as per plans the airline would start operating daily nonstop flights between Medellin’s Jose Maria Cordova International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport from June 2013.

JetBlue Airways flights tickets are expected to go up for sale in January 2013. The launch of flights between Medellin and Fort Lauderdale are subject to government approval.

Medellin is the second largest city and a vibrant cultural and commercial center of Columbia. The city would be JetBlue Airways’ 79th destination as well as its third destination in this South American country Columbia.
 
Currently, JetBlue Airways is operating nonstop flights services to Bogota from Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. Apart from this, the airline is also offering nonstop flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Cartagena.
