JetBlue and Hawaiian tie eases Hawaii-East Coast travel

The recent codeshare partnership between JetBlue Airways and Hawaiian Airlines reached in January this year will be making it convenient and much easier to travel between Hawaii and the East Coast, aviation industry experts have said.

The codeshare agreement is expected to take shape by June 4, when Hawaiian Airlines finally begins a daily nonstop flight between Honolulu and New York JFK Airport.

Passengers taking JetBlue flights tickets can also be purchased through Hawaiian Airlines once the codeshare flights finally take to the skies.

Both the carriers will also be able to sync connecting flight times, award frequent flier points to either airline’s program members and allow consumers to book air tickets through each other’s network.
