Air France-KLM One of Europe’s largest airline groups, will soon be introducing its first route between Belfast and Amsterdam. The airline plans to offer once daily service between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and George Best Belfast City Airport from the beginning of May 2015.
Arlene Foster, North’s Minister for Enterprise said that he firmly believes that Air France’s decision will prove to be beneficial both for the airline and the local economy. Connectivity to North Ireland is increasing; several airlines have added new services here, however drawing an airline like Air France is a big win for us.
Flights to Amsterdam from Belfast will provide better connectivity across Northern Ireland and will offer access to significant tourism and business markets in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America. KLM's alliance with other airlines will ensure easy transfers for both baggage and the passengers.
KLM’s major network is operated through Schiphol Airport and it remains as one of the busiest airports in Europe, offering connections to more than 300 destinations. Air France-KLM Passengers can fly to several destinations from here including Johannesburg, Singapore, Bangkok, Los Angeles, Mexico, Moscow and Hong Kong.
The airline lays substantial importance on customer service and provides comfortable, flexible and suitable product to all its passengers. All these factors make Air France-KLM a complete match for Belfast Airport, as the main priority here is to keep enhancing the overall traveler experience.
