KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Amsterdam-Manston flights in April

The Netherland’s national flag carrier KLM Royal Dutch Airlines recently announced it has finally secured the flying rights to the UK’s Manston Airport and will begin operations from next year.

The airline in a statement said that KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flights will start operations between Amsterdam’s Schicphol International Airport and the UK’s Manston Airport from April 2, 2013.

European budget carrier Flybe has stopped its flights operations out of Manston Airport in March this year. Manston Airport would be the 19th airport to be served in the UK by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Charles Buchanan, Chief Executive at Manston Airport, said that KLM Royal Dutch Airlines would be operating a Fokker 70 aircraft twice daily from Amsterdam Schiphol to Manston. He welcomed the new services and said that this would be of a great benefit to Kent and its residents.
