Korean Air launching flights to Sri Lanka and Maldives March 9

South Korea’s national flag carrier Korean Air recently announced it will be expanding its flights services to Southwest Asian countries offering convenient connections for business and leisure travelers.

The airline in a statement said that Korean Air flights services would be introduced on Sri Lanka and Maldives routes.

The customers would now be able to book Korean Air flight tickets at affordable rates for the direct flights services to both the countries being launched from March 9, 2013. The flights to Sri Lanka and Maldives would be operated from Seoul’s Incheon International Airport.

The airline disclosed that the direct service will depart from Seoul Incheon to Colombo in Sri Lanka and from there onwards to Male in Maldives.
The flights on Seoul Incheaon-Colombo-Male route would be offered thrice weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
 
The airline will deploy an Airbus A330-300 aircraft to operate flights on Seoul Incheon-Colombo-Male route. The aircraft will be configured with 276 seats, including 6 seats in First Class and 18 seats in business class (Prestige Class).
