Lufthansa adding 5 destinations, 61 new services this summer

Germany’s flag carrier Lufthansa recently announced it is adding five new destinations and offer 61 new services this summer. Lufthansa flights to and from Berlin is set to increase fourfold now.

According to the new summer schedule, Lufthansa will be operating flights to 216 destinations in 83 countries. In 2011, the airline operated summer flights to 211 destinations in 84 countries.

The summer schedule is due to start from March 25 and end on October 27, 2012.

The airline in a statement said it will be resuming its services to Shenyang in northeastern China, and will continue the flight on to Qingdao on China’s eastern seaboard. This will be for the first time that Qingdao will be linked to Lufthansa’s route network.

Lufthansa flights tickets will also be available to four new, attractive holiday destinations – Knock in Ireland, Montpellier in France, Odessa in Ukraine and Pula in Croatia.

Lufthansa will also offer a wide choice of new seasonal connections to European resorts for leisure travelers. These include 17 new routes from Düsseldorf, six from Hamburg, 18 from Munich and 16 from Frankfurt.
