Lufthansa considering using bigger aircraft on its domestic routes

Passengers can now look forward to taking Lufthansa flights on bigger aircraft to domestic destinations within Germany.

Germany’s leading carrier Lufthansa recently indicated that it is actively studying the use of bigger aircraft it plans to ply on domestic routes within the country.

The airline is planning this move in an attempt to effectively tackle congestion at the main airports in Germany. By using a larger aircraft, Lufthansa hopes that this problem would be successfully overcome.

Stefan Lauer, Lufthansa’s Head or Personnel, said that using bigger aircraft on domestic routes is the only option left with Lufthansa if it really wanted to gain significantly in the domestic aviation market. Currently, massive protests are being staged in Germany to stall the expansion of airports in Munich and Frankfurt.

He said that in the face of the massive protests the best option for Lufthansa would be to use bigger aircrafts on its domestic routes.
