Lufthansa to stop flights to Cape Town from Frankfurt this winter

Leading German carrier Lufthansa recently announced it will be stop flying to Cape Town this year.

The airline in a statement disclosed that Lufthansa flights will stop operating on Cape Town-Frankfurt route this winter.
 
The airline is being forced to take this decision in view of a ban on night flights by aviation authorities at Frankfurt airport.
 
A Lufthansa spokesman said that delays in departure owing to ban on night flights would have left out even more passengers greatly stressed and stranded overnight.  

The airline revealed that it will be stopping all its flights from Frankfurt airport to Cape Town during the winter schedule. According to Lufthansa, the stopping of flights on Cape Town-Frankfurt route has become unavoidable because of a stringent mandatory ban on flights after 11 pm operating out of the busiest airport in Germany.

The airline stated that it will be implementing a temporary solution for the winter schedule by shifting its Cape Town flights to Munich.
