Middle East Airlines Purchases 10 A329neo

Middle East Airlines, Lebanese flag carrier has placed an order for 10 aircrafts of A320neo family with Airbus. This $1 billion order places by MEA is expected to begin flying in 2015.

Following the MoU signed between MEA and Airbus last July, the order consists of five A321neos and 5A320neos. The engine choice for these aircrafts will be later on decided by the airlines.

Mohamad El Hout, Chairman and Director General MEA said that the reliability, fuel burning savings and cabin comfort made this purchase a safe investment.

At present Middle East Airlines fleet consists of our A330-200s, four A321s and ten A320s.
