Philippine Airlines launching nonstop Manila-Toronto flights

Philippines’ national flag carrier Philippine Airlines recently announced it will launching flights services between the capital city Manila and Toronto in Canada.

The airline in a statement said that nonstop Philippine Airlines flights between Manila and Toronto would be launched from November 30, 2012.

Toronto would be the airline’s first gateway on the eastern seaboard of North America in 15 years.

Earlier, Philippine Airlines was offering services on Manila-Vancouver-New Jersey route but stopped flight operations on the route in 1997.

The airline said that it would be revising its current daily flight schedule on Manila-Vancouver route to four times every week. This includes the continuing leg to Toronto. This complements the existing thrice weekly nonstop flights on Manila-Toronto route.

Philippine Airlines revealed that it would be deploying a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to operate nonstop flights on Manila-Toronto route. The aircraft will be configured in two classes – 42 seats in business class and 328 seats in economy class.
