Philippine Airlines resumes flights to New York From March 2015

An elated Philippine Airlines has decided to celebrate its return to the Big Apple. The airline will resume its service from March 15, 2015 onwards. The flights will be operated four times per week. The return of service will coincide with the airline’s 74th anniversary of its founding.

Philippine Airlines will deploy its modern Airbus A340-300 aircraft to operate flights on the Manila-New York route via Vancouver. The aircraft will be configured with 36 seats in business class and 218 seats in economy class. With a total distance of 14,501 km, this will be the airline’s longest route in its network.

Flight PR 126 will depart Manila at 1100 hours and arrive in Vancouver at 2050 hours and finally land in JFK at 2250 hours same day. Return flight PR 127 will leave from JFK at 1100 hours and arrive in Vancouver at 1350 hours and finally arrive in Manila at 2035 hours the following day.

With the relaunch of flights to New York, the airline will now be operating flights to a total of five U.S. destinations. The cities where the airline is already conducting its services include Guam, Honolulu, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The airline considers New York as one of its lucrative route. It will be operating its services out of Terminal 1 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
