Philippine Airlines to upgrade Aussie flights to Boeing 777 from June 30

Philippine Airlines recently announced it will be upgrading all of its flights it is currently operating on Australian routes to Boeing 777-300ER.

The airline said in a statement that Philippine Airlines flights to Australia will be upgraded to a Boeing 777 aircraft starting from June 30, 2012.

The airline is currently operating flights services with the help of Airbus A330 and A340 on Sydney-Manila and Melbourne-Manila routes. The airline will now be replacing the Airbus on these routes with Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts.

According to the airline, the flights on Sydney-Manila route was being operated through a Boeing 777 aircraft from 2010, which was later on swapped on to the airline’s flights services on Vancouver and Tokyo routes.

The airline has indicated that it will be adopting a split schedule for operating flights to Sydney and Melbourne from Manila. There will now be morning and evening departures.
 
The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will have 42 business class seats in Mabuhay Class, while the Economy of Fiesta Class will have 328 seats.
